Dr. Iskandar connects her extensive experience and networks to deliver projects with positive social, economic and environmental impact.
With thirty years’ practice across grass roots communities and, informal settlements, she is known for addressing issues of Urban Poverty, creating opportunities for recycling SME’s using a value chain analysis approach. Dr. Iskandar is a graduate of Cairo University, UC Berkeley, California and Columbia University, New York. She has been a jury member to UNESCO’s International Literacy Prize, UNESCO’s Resource Person for the Arab region since 2005 on the United Nations Literacy Decade and Education for Sustainable Development, as well as Education Advisor for Egypt’s Canadian International Development Agency.
